About Us

Pinnacle Healthcare Management, Inc. is a privately owned and operated healthcare network of post-acute nursing care and rehabilitation facilities. Leaders in the industry since 1948, Pinnacle Healthcare’s owners share four generations of experience managing ten facilities throughout Oregon. We have a clear understanding of the post-acute and long-term care environment and are committed to setting the standard of care within the communities we serve.

Our Philosophy
Our patients are our number one priority. We view each of our facilities as a family with individual needs and local sensitivities. We pride ourselves on hiring the most compassionate caregivers we can find.

Our Mission
Our mission is straightforward: To enhance and enrich every life we touch.

Our Values
Photo_2"I admire Pinnacle's Value System, integrity and the principles we represent. The company's ownership has created an atmosphere of compassion for residents, their families and our employees."
- Jeannie Ulbricht, A/R & Billing Specialist,
Pinnacle Main Office, employee since 1994

Pinnacle’s values system can be summed up in two words I CARE (Integrity, Compassion, Assurance, Respect and Excellence).

But to us, these are more than just words. They are the rules we live by and the principles that guide the facilities we manage and the decisions we make.

Integrity – Honesty in all we do.
  Compassion – Nurturing life’s journey.
Assurance – Peace of mind for all.
Respect – Honoring each other and the individuals we serve.
Excellence – Giving the best of ourselves.

Our History
Pinnacle Healthcare’s history includes the experience and knowledge of three families committed to operating quality post-acute and long-term care facilities in Oregon.

The tradition began in 1947 when current owner Mark Garber’s grandmother purchased a care home for seniors where she had worked for several years as a nurse. She eventually sold the facility to her sons who expanded its nursing and rehabilitation services.

In 1965 Bill and Dorothy Fisher leased the Rose Haven Nursing Center to meet a rapidly increasing need for senior care facilities in the Roseburg area. After growing Rose Haven into the largest facility in Oregon, and acquiring other nursing homes over the years, they sold all of their locations to their children, Bill and Claire, and to Claire’s husband, Merlin Hart.

In 1991, the Garbers, Fishers and Harts decided to join forces and purchase their first joint facility, French Prairie Care Center, which became the foundation for Pinnacle Healthcare. Since that time, Pinnacle Healthcare has grown to include 11 nursing facilities in Oregon that house a total of 1,100 beds and provide a wide range of rehabilitation and nursing services.
