Corvallis Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

About Us
Choosing a nursing facility requires careful consideration of a facility’s quality of service, reputation, location and staff expertise. Corvallis Manor is committed to meeting these needs for our residents and the families we serve. We pride ourselves on our reputation gained through our quality of care and willingness to listen and respond to our residents, families and the community.

We understand the importance of a friendly smile, a kind word and gentle encouragement. You can be sure our professional and dedicated staff will deliver care of the highest quality. That's our commitment.

Dewey Konopa, Administrator
Dewey Konopa started his career in long-term care as a certified nursing assistant at Highland House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass, Ore.  At Highland House, he also worked as a rehab aide and as activity director.  After completing his Administrator in Training (AIT) program, Konopa transferred to Green Valley Rehabilitation Health Center in Eugene, Ore.  In November 2009, he went to work in the Pinnacle Healthcare support office, where he oversaw Pro-Staffing, Pinnacle Healthcare's temporary staffing agency, and managed recruitment for Pinnacle.  He has served as administrator at Corvallis Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since 2011.

Dewey says the best part of his job is getting to interact with the residents and working with a dedicated team of professionals.  Outside of work, he and his wife Rebecca, enjoy whitewater kayaking, hiking, camping and rock climbing.  He also loves to spend time with his family and friends.

A certifed nursing home administrator, Dewey has a bachelor's degree in history from Oregon State University.

Karen Sechrest, RN, Director of Nursing Services
To anyone who knows Karen, it's obvious why she chose long-term care as her profession.  Her compassion, integrity and commitment to exceptional patient care exemplify the core values of Pinnacle Healthcare.

Karen has more than 30 years of long-term care experience.  Before joining Pinnacle, she held director of nursing services positions in Kansas City, MO and Portland, OR.  In 2002, she joined Corvallis Manor as an RN charge nurse in the past-paced skilled unit and within the year was promoted to resident care manager in one of Pinnacle's long-term care units.  in 2007 she was again promoted to facility educator and nursing assistant instructor, where she excelled.  In 2011, she accepted her current position as director of  nursing services.

Karen and her husband of 30 years have three children.  She enjoys exploring the Oregon coast, camping, reading and shamelessly spoiling her two grandsons.

Julie Howell,  PT, Rehabilitation Program Manager
Julie has been helping people gain their mobility back through physical therapy since she graduated with a master's degree in physical therapy from California Sate University at Fresno in 1998.  She's worked at Corvallis Manor since 2002, and thoroughly enjoys the "incredible" staff and residents there.

Julie has two young children and enjoys spending time with them.
