At Hillside Heights, we strive to provide the best resident care and maintain consistent superior quality and value through all our services. We pride ourselves in meeting the needs of each resident with warmth, understanding and compassion and work together as a team to set personal goals with residents that help them reach their maximum potential.

We provide skilled and post-acute long term care for patients who require a higher level of clinical oversight.

Nathan Garber, Administrator 
Nathan Garber, administrator at Hillside Heights Rehabilitation Center, has worked for Pinnacle since 1992. In his more than 18 years with the company, Nathan has filled positions in maintenance, supply, bookkeeping and billing, and administration. A certifed nursing home administrator, Nathan has an extensive and varied educational background, with a Masters of Business Administration from American InterContinental University, a Bachelor of Arts from NCU (Northwest Christian University) and an associate degree in diesel mechanics from Lane Community College.  

Nathan says his favorite part of work is the people. When he is not on the job, you can find him hunting and fishing. He also enjoys home improvement projects, working on cars and spending time with his family. 

Lou Ann Lovell, RN, Director of Nursing Services
Lou Ann Lovell began her career in nursing as a charge nurse in a small hospital in Coquille, OR, where her patients could be in intensive care or obstetrics - or anything in between.  In 2007 she made the switch to long-term care at Myrtle Point Care Center in Myrtle Point, OR, where she was the Director of Nursing Services.  She joined the Hillside Heights team Heights December  2008. 

Lou Ann earned her associate's degree in nursing from Umpqua CommunityCollege in Roseburg, OR, in 1994.  In addition she is certified as to manage special intravenous care.  The favorite part of her job?  "Making a difference in people's lives," she says.

In her spare time, Lou Ann enjoys long bike rides, lake canoeing and traveling.  She has one grown daughter. 

Jill Ritchie, OTR, Rehabilitation Program Manager
An occupational therapist since 1995, Jill has focused her career in skilled nursing.  She graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in science and later received a master’s degree in occupational therapy at the University of Puget Sound. 

Jill has developed an out-patient upper extremity stroke rehabilitation program based on constraint induced therapy called REACH and has published several articles about the program including Reach for Higher-Level Outcomes in Stroke Rehab (pdf download).

Serving as the Eugene Occupational Therapy Representative for several years running, Jill volunteers her time at the Oregon Occupational Therapy Association. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her responsibilities at Hillside Heights, Jill also serves as the Rehab Program Manager of South Hills Rehabilitation Center.
