Grants Pass, Oregon

Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center

About Us
Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation is dedicated to providing for the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of each patient. We take pride in helping each and every resident achieve their optimum level of function and independence.

Dennis Will, Administrator
Dennis began his long-term care career in 1981, and he’s been Administrator at Royale Gardens since 1989. Prior to his current position, he was Social Service Director and Assistant Administrator at the same facility. In fact, the longevity of the staff at Royale Gardens—as well as their success in helping patients achieve their goals—are among the things he’s most professionally proud of. Dennis graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree…and he still loves the Ducks!

Dennis is married and, in addition to University of Oregon sports, enjoys golf and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Theresa Schlegel, RN, Director of Nursing Services
Theresa began her career in nursing more than 25 years ago and has steadily risen up the ranks - from certified nursing assistant to licensed practical nurse to registered nurse to director of nursing services - as she gained more education.  She earned her associate's degree in nursing from Rogue Community College.

Theresa's been at Royale Gardens for 13 years, and she says that the favorite part of her job is "making a difference".  She has three grown daughters, all living within five miles of her in Grants Pass, and five grandchildren.  Theresa lives on a farm and enjoys her pets and gardening.

Heidi Romero, Rehabilitation Program Manager
Heidi literally grew up at Royale Gardens. She was three years old when her grandparents built the facility and began serving the needs of Grants Pass residents. Her earliest jobs at the facility were loading the soda pop machine and doing clerical tasks. After graduating with a bachelor’s of science degree in occupational therapy from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, she returned to Royale Gardens as a licensed therapist where she loves “seeing people return to independence.”

Heidi enjoys yard work, cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She has two young children, one girl and one boy. She also loves to watch pro football and is a Cleveland browns fan!
