At French Prairie, we strive to provide the highest and most consistent quality of comprehensive care possible to those entrusted to us. We work hard to meet the health, rehabilitative, social and personal goals of each resident, encouraging them to return to their community and surroundings whenever possible.

French Prairie provides the Woodburn area with a healthcare facility that meets the needs of the aged, ailing, and convalescing residents of the community, regardless of race or creed.

Karla Hunt, Administrator
Karla Hunt earned a BS in English and psychology at Portland State University in 1982, and worked in the banking and finance industry from 1980 to 1998. It was while serving senior citizen banking clients in an Oregon retirement community that she discovered her passion for advocating for seniors.

In 1999 she decided to follow her heart and make a career change. She spent a year as administrator-in-training for a Northwest-based operator of long-term senior care facilities, including serving as interim human resources director, social service director and activities director. In 2000 she earned her Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from Portland State. From 2000 to 2006 she served as administrator at a residential care center in Molalla, Oregon.

Karla joined the Pinnacle team in 2006, and is happy to be working close to her home in Hubbard. She is eager to get involved in community activities and organizations.

Mary Miller, RN, Director of Nursing Services
Mary Miller received her nursing degree nearly 30 years ago from Clackmas Community College and has been providing exceptional healthcare to Oregon residents ever since. Throughout her career, Mary has held positions as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a Charge Nurse and RN care manager (RNCM) before being appointed to her current position as Director of Nursing Services for French Prairie. On her hours away from the center, Mary spends as much time as she can enjoying the great Oregon outdoors.

Loydene Nielsen, Rehabilitation Program Manager
Loydene Nielson is a licensed physical therapist assistant and has been the rehabilitation program manager at French Prairie since 2004. She earned her bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of Oregon and went on to receive an associate degree as a physical therapist assistant at Mt. Hood Community College. She has worked in skilled nursing rehabilitation for 10 years. In addition, Loydene has also worked in acute care, home healthcare and with the developmentally delayed.
